Effort Changes the Outcome.

You know what I hate? (Hate – being a word that I try to use lightly.)  I hate the fact that nothing is ever good enough. Like no matter what you say or what you do, there always seems to be one person that is against you. How annoying can life be?

I have a feeling that I’m purposely being challenged. This must be one of those guardian angel tests that happen in order for God to track your growth as an individual. Let me be honest and say that today I have failed and I have some praying to do. Don’t read this and think “wow, she’s being very upfront and nonchalant about this.” I can say these things (failing and needing to pray) so easily because I’ve accepted my earthly ways. We get sidetracked and miss what’s important. I mean, should God not be allowed to get sidetracked too? I’ve missed a blessing or two because of my ways.

Say this with me: I HAVE to change. I also HAVE to show God that I am worthy of receiving anything. Before my life gets better, it will get worse or get stuck where it is. I HAVE to remain focused and accept what I am going through.

Besides the fact that people find fault in everything that I choose to do, I’ve learned (within minutes of writing this post) that I need to be open without opening up too much. It’s kind of hard to explain. Like you should know when to do things, say things, or even feel a certain way. No you don’t have to live your life like a robot, but you should find peace in knowing that you can be yourself and not be judged – by God that is. People like your friends, family, co-workers, acquaintances – they’ll always have something to say. If you let what is being said get to you, that’s when you boil over. Remove the pot from the stove and add water. Over heating isn’t worth the stress!!!

Too often do I find myself thinking about better ways to handle situations. Your best way should be your first option. Stop trying to strategically fix things. If you want to be good enough, you have to BE good enough. Effort will change your outcome. REAL effort, consistent effort. Show God that you care by wanting to be good enough to receive and watch your days get better.
